  • Memorial Program, Parade, Gullah Market and Community Picnic-The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Program, Parade, Gullah Market and Community Picnic is held annually on the federally designated MLK Holiday; coordinated by the Bluffton MLK Observance Committee. Families, local businesses and organizations dedicated to peace and positivity in our community, join us for a program reflecting on the life and legacy of Dr. King, which highlights the talent and performances of our area youth. The parade/march follows the program in a two-mile walk through Old Town Bluffton. The Bluffton MLK Memorial Program/Parade and March will culminate at the Bluffton Oyster Factory Park with a community picnic and Gullah Market, featuring a DJ, amazing vendors, and plenty of delicious food. All are welcome.

  • This is a community event bringing together folks of all ages and cultures. Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and triumph. Join us for a larger than life celebration of liberation and excellence. This celebration will feature vibrant vendors, an array of Gullah Food vendors, artisans, craftsmen, live performances, Gospel Singing, drum circles, Gullah storytelling, and information on how to be an advocate for our Gullah community, in the fight to ensure equity for the most vulnerable among us.

  • Geechella, It's a Homecoming!!! Celebrating and highlighting the culture of our HBCU's and Gullah Heritage. Vendor village, HBCU Tent, celebrity DJ Cleve, Greek Fraternity & Sorority Steppers, food & more.

 

October 29, 2022

 

  • The Gullah Market features local craftsmen, artisans, merchants and food vendors from the LowCountry. Patrons can shop from a variety of merchants and enjoy entertainment. Guests are encouraged to come decked in costumes connected to the theme as there will be prizes awarded to the adults and children for our costume contest. You will also be able to judge vendor booths as we select the best decorated booth. Children will also be able to safely trick or treat at each vendor. Families will also enjoy movie night on the lawn with popcorn and hot chocolate.
